The kids spend their second Halloween in Oahu. Our house was decorated, but we wanted to up our scary factor, now that Jillian has acquiesced to more spooky decorations. Unfortunately this year there were NO Halloween decorations available at Walmart. Zip. Nadda. Of course there other stores to shop for decorations, but it was slim pickin’s and just illustrates how the down economy has affected this holiday. Good thing I had stock-piled skulls, caulderons, and flaming torches from the mainland. I’ll never take Big Lots for granted again!
